Easter

Easter, like every other holiday (except your anniversary), is exponentially better with kids!

This clip does not do justice to Kohler's excitement for the easter egg hunt to start. He was putting all of his 26 pounds into getting out of Rhett's hold. Apparently we are bad parents because we just let Kohler run off to fend for himself while all of the other parents were helping their kids. Or maybe we are good parents because we rigorously trained him for the big day with at least ten practice egg hunts during the 2 days previous to the big event.

This movie does do justice to Cannon's excitement- once he got an egg in each hand he could have cared less about any of the other treats that conveniently surrounded him.

Cannon is 1!

Cannon is 1! Wow that was one fast year. Just over one year ago I was scared to death wondering what I would do with another little guy and so intrigued at the idea that another person with his own new set of traits and quirks would be part of our family. Now, as they say, I can't imagine life without him.

Cannon is awesome. He is so fun-loving and easy going. He loves to snuggle. Cannon idolizes Kohler- Cannon's first word was car because that was all that was coming out of Kohlers mouth at the time. Cannon loves to play and rough house. He loves rocking out to music. What a cute little squeak!

Cannon had a monster infestation at his birthday party!

The kids made their own monster masks so that they could be in disguise. Kohler's only request was that his should have a tractor on it.

This just makes me laugh.

Googly-eyed monster cake.

Cannon thoroughly enjoyed his personal cake... all 2 bites!

Blogging- not one of my passions...

Cruisin' the Caribbean

Love my boys

Just us on any given day...superhero, pirate, punk and something scary!

Hot springs at the top of three forks trail head- I highly recommend it!

Adorable Kohler found his own spot to wait in while Rhett was squeezing through
the St. George narrows.

So 6 months has gone by without a post to my blog... I guess it has happened before and I am sure that it will again. Life is good for our family. I have mommy amnesia and don't remember most of the last 6 months but here are some of the highlights.

Kohler is now 2 years old (unbelievable!) and Cannon is 9 months old. Kohler LOVES trucks in all forms. I can't stress that enough. Every day he wants to call Rhett at work to see if he will be driving the jeep home. His party was a firetruck party and somehow everyone guessed that he loves trucks so his supply doubled. when we walk through parking lots we have to stop and look at every truck (which includes big SUVs as well). His uncle Ben has a big backhoe tractor and so Kohler refers to him as "tractor". He is a BOY!! Cannon is following suit as well. His first word was car. He loves Kohler. Just about anything that Kohler does will cause Cannon to erupt in laughter.

Rhett is the hardest worker I know! His 3rd baby, autopal, is taking off! He has been working for more than 2 years on this and it is really starting to grow like crazy. I am so fiercely proud of him! I think that he is a genius. Rhett is also the young men's president in our ward- tons of fun but tons of work. As with everything else, he does an incredible job! I wish that I had more exciting news to report about myself, but my biggest priority, my family, takes most of my time these days. One of my non-homemaking projects was our ward's mother-daughter night for the activity days girls. I had so much fun pulling it off. our theme was stepping back in time and was centered around high school. We decorated the gym like a school dance, the girls signed yearbooks, they made prom dresses out of plastic tablecloths and ribbons and then took pictures with Justin Bieber(if I can figure out how to work my new phone I will post the pics- think tacky prom pictures with a lifesize Justin cutout). I was actually worried that the girls wouldn't know who he was or even worse, think he was dumb. But to my joy they loved him, so much so that in their excitement over someone taking him home they ripped his head off!

We have had some awesome trips. Rhett did the St. George triathlon- maybe I will join him someday when I am not terrified of drowning. I'm not fancy enough to embed the clip so just copy past the following link to see why.

That is not a joke either. It is a madhouse out there. Anyways while we were down there we did tons of playing in the water and hiking the St. George narrows. we also swung down to Las Vegas. The boys and I hung out and swam while Rhett was at a convention.

The first week of December Rhett and I dropped the boys off and went to cruise the Caribbean. Wow- it was a great vacation and we needed every minute of it. we just returned last weekend from snowmobiling to our cabin! It is always an experience and something has gone wrong every single time, but it is still one of my favorite trips of the year. We found out that we own the best sled ever- We had 6 of us on it and going faster than we were comfortable with we sledded at the very least 1/3 mile down hill- it was the best sledding of my life and everyone should experience it!

Another memorable event was the swarm of yellow jackets that came INSIDE our home (3 days of bliss). We had a wonderful holiday season- thanksgiving to new years is an incredible time! This year it was especially fun since Kohler loved every minute of it as well. Christmas was made to experience with your children. Kohler's 2nd birthday was so much fun- my little guy is growing up!

I know there is more that I will remember someday, but until then enjoy some of the pics of our adventures.
